§ 9-8. Same—Authorized uses of proceeds.

The town is authorized to rededicate and use the revenues derived from the existing one (1) percent sales and use tax now being collected in the town for the purpose authorized (constructing, operating and maintaining a municipal sewerage system) and for the additional purpose of paying any lawful corporate expenses of the town, including, but not limited to, paying for capital improvements, and the town is further authorized to fund the proceeds of the tax into bonds to be issued in series from time to time for making any of the aforesaid capital improvements, to the extent and in the manner permitted by the laws of the state, including Sub-Part E, Part III, Chapter 4, Title 39 [R.S. 39:691 et seq.] of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
