§ 13-31. Permit and requirements for individual trailers or mobile homes.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to place or have placed a mobile home or trailer upon a lot within the limits of the municipality for the purpose of being used for living or sleeping quarters, unless the person shall first obtain a permit from the building inspector, who shall issue a permit only after the following conditions have been complied with:

    (1)

    The health, sanitation and safety regulations and all other applicable code provisions and ordinances of the municipality and the laws of the state are strictly complied with.

    (2)

    The minimum lot size is sixty (60) feet front by seventy-five (75) feet depth.

    (3)

    The fixed or standing position of the mobile home or trailer is at least thirty (30) feet from any street.

    (4)

    The minimum distance from side lot lines is five (5) feet and the minimum distance from rear lot lines is twenty-five (25) feet; provided further, a mobile home or trailer may not be placed any closer than thirty (30) feet from existing residences on the existing lot.

    (5)

    A fee of ten dollars ($10.00) is to be paid upon issuance of the permit.

    (6)

    The owner of the mobile home must reside in the mobile home.

    (7)

    The trailer is located in a C-2 zone according to the zoning ordinance of this municipality.
