§ 9-4. Same—Authority of treasurer; specific allocation of monies.

The municipal treasurer is authorized and empowered to receive from the treasurer of the state any amounts collected by such officer upon premiums or business done in this municipality by foreign fire insurance corporations doing business within the corporate limits of the municipality. All monies so collected shall be set apart and specially dedicated by the municipality solely for the creation, maintenance, support and encouragement of a skillful and efficient fire department in conformity with the provisions of R.S. 22:1581, as amended.
