§ 5-78. Building construction.

  • (a)

    In keeping with the architectural integrity of the Town of St. Francisville, any constructed, pre-fabricated or manufactured metal building shall have at least three (3) walls, including the façade, covered or veneered with a nonmetallic material. Any wall that fronts on a street, or is visible from a street, shall be covered or veneered.

    (b)

    The choice of material(s) and the ensuing design shall be submitted to the St. Francisville Design Review Board for its approval at the time of submission of plans with any application for a building permit.

    (c)

    This requirement is applicable for all residential, commercial, and industrial construction plans. All other aspects of the requirements in this article for review by the St. Francisville Design Board shall remain in effect.

    (d)

    All parts of the review and appeal process in this article shall remain in effect.

    (E)

    Exception: If a side of the building is separated from the neighboring building by a small strip of land which serves as an easement and is not clearly visible from a street, then a request for a waiver to exempt that side from cover or veneer may be made.
