§ 12-37. Gas main tie-ins.

  • (a)

    A gas main tie-in is the same as a gas main connector and a gas main stub-out, all meaning that point where and that device by which a private gas line from a structure connects into a public gas main.

    (b)

    Each lot to be served by the town's gas system must have a gas main tie-in on the lot. The gas main tie-in shall be buried in the ground no more than three (3) feet from the surface of the ground; it shall be directly accessible from the surface above and shall not be covered by any obstruction, including without limitation to any structure, street, sidewalk, or driveway.
