§ 11-70. Definitions.

For the purpose of this division, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them:

Appliances: Refrigerators, food freezers, stoves, microwave ovens, clothes washing machines, clothes dryers, dish washers, fans, air conditioners, water heaters, televisions, radios, sound equipment, or any other household, office or commercial devices operated by gas or electric current.

Junked appliances: Any appliance which is used or is over one (1) year old and the condition of which is one or more of the following:

(1)

Not in active use for the intended manufactured purpose;

(2)

Dismantled, partially or completely;

(3)

Inoperative;

(4)

Abandoned;

(5)

Discarded; or

(6)

Stored for purpose of salvage, repair, lease, sale or resale.
