§ 10-7. Fire prevention bureau.

(a)

There is hereby created for the municipality a body entitled "fire prevention bureau."

(b)

The purpose of the fire prevention bureau is to conduct cause and origin investigations of fires and provide public fire safety education.

(c)

The fire prevention bureau shall consist of at least four (4) people, at least two (2) of whom are certified by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office to conduct cause and origin investigations and at least two (2) of whom are trained in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1035 as revised to conduct public fire safety education.
